NEW PROCEDURE TO COMBAT SINUSITIS

A new surgical procedure that removes neither bone nor tissue could put an end to blocked noses for tens of thousands of Australians suffering sinusitis. The ground-breaking balloon sinuplasty technique, which is less invasive than current surgical procedures, has been successfully trialled on 10 sinusitis patients in Melbourne and is expected to gain commercial approval next year.
