DJ ORTHOPEDICS TO STRENGTHEN PRESENCE IN EUROPE WITH ACQUISITION OF NEWMED SAS

DJ Orthopedics, Inc., a global medical device company specializing in rehabilitation and regeneration products for the non-operative orthopedic and spine markets, today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the shares, and repay certain obligations, of Newmed SAS for cash payments aggregating 13 million Euro (approximately $15.6 million).
