ALNYLAM LANDS GOVERNMENT FUNDING FOR FLU PROGRAM

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals Inc. has attracted government funding to help develop a potential treatment for pandemic flu. Cambridge, Mass.-based Alnylam (Nasdaq: ALNY) announced the news on Wednesday. The company, which isn't disclosing details, said the funding for the program will be coming from the Department of Defense's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
