SYSCAN LICENSES COLD CHAIN SOLUTION FOR PHARMACEUTICAL SECTOR

Syscan International Inc. today announced that it has signed a multi-year licensing and distribution agreement with Alternatives Technologie Pharma Inc. (ATP) of Montreal, Quebec, for the North American pharmaceutical market. Under the agreement ATP, in conjunction with a number of U.S.-based partners (to be named later), will market and distribute Syscan's proprietary RFID-based (Radio Frequency Identification) Cold Chain Compliance and Control system to major manufacturers, transporters and retailers of pharmaceutical products throughout North America. The pharmaceutical industry annually suffers billions of dollars in losses due to fraud and product degradation.
