PFIZER SEES 2006 PROFIT SLIGHTLY BELOW FORECASTS

Pfizer Inc., the world's largest drug maker, on Friday forecast 2006 earnings of about $2 per share, excluding special items, slightly below Wall Street forecasts. Analysts on average had forecast $2.04 per share for the year, excluding items, and $2.16 on that basis for 2007, according to Reuters Estimates.
