MEDICINE PRICES WILL BE KEPT UNDER CONTROL

Truong Quoc Cuong, Deputy Head of the Pharmaceuticals Management Department (PMD), has said that the prices of medicines will not increase sharply in the domestic market this year. Talking with the Sai Gon Giai Phong (Liberated Sai Gon) newspaper on Feb. 13 on pharmaceutical enterprises' proposal for increasing medicine prices, Cuong said that the department has not yet permitted enterprises to raise medicine prices as it will have to thoroughly assess their reasons.
