AIST SUCCEEDS IN ENCAPSULATING AND STABILIZING BETA-CAROTENE

The National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) announced on February 8 that its Nanotechnology Research Institute has succeeded in encapsulating and stabilizing beta-carotene in carbon nanotubes. AIST has encapsulated beta-carotene in HiPco single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs), a type of carbon nanotube currently marketed by Carbon Nanotechnologies Inc.
