FIRST ONLINE FDA-CLEARED GLAUCOMA TEST AVAILABLE FREE

The first glaucoma test clinically approved for online use and set to receive FDA clearance will be available free for one week, from Feb.15 to Feb.22. The offer, hosted by Lighthouse International, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people overcome the challenges of vision loss, and Peristat Group, a disease management company, can be downloaded at www.lighthouse.org/glaucoma (http://www.lighthouse.org/glaucoma).

The Peristat test takes three minutes to complete. Then, eye care professionals evaluate the responses and results are emailed to participants within 24 hours.

Glaucoma is a chronic, degenerative disease that causes irreversible damage to the optic nerve and can lead to blindness.
