OMNICARE 4Q PROFIT FALLS 14 PERCENT

Omnicare Inc., a pharmaceutical care provider for the elderly, said on Thursday its fourth-quarter profit declined by 14 percent, largely due to a $27.6 million charge. Income for the quarter was $48.3 million, or 43 cents per share, down from $56.2 million, or 52 cents per share last year.
