MICROBIA RAISES $75 MILLION IN PRIVATE EQUITY FINANCING TO ADVANCE THERAPEUTIC CANDIDATES THROUGH CLINICAL TRIALS

Microbia, Inc., an entrepreneurial pharmaceutical company with two internally discovered drug candidates in clinical trials, today announced it has raised $75 million in a series E private equity financing. In addition, the company announced the initiation of a second Phase 2 clinical trial for MD-1100, a first-in-class development candidate for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.
