HEART RHYTHM TO DISCUSS NEW STUDIES ON PACEMAKER RECALLS

A town hall meeting to discuss new device recall recommendations for pacemakers and implantable cardiac devices (ICDs) will be held at the Heart Rhythm Society's 27th Annual Scientific Session from May 17 to 20, in Boston. Mass.

At the event, renowned scientists and electrophysiologists will showcase the latest scientific advances in the field of cardiac arrhythmias: defibrillation, catheter ablation, cardiac pacing and noninvasive diagnostic techniques.

New studies on fish consumption and atrial fibrillation, hormone therapy and stroke in women, effect of tasers on ventricular fibrillations and race and gender disparities in ICD implantation will also be presented.
