SUNESIS PHARMACEUTICALS ANNOUNCES $45 MILLION PRIVATE PLACEMENT

Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of novel small molecule therapeutics, today announced that the Company has entered into a definitive agreement to raise approximately $45 million in a private placement of approximately 7.25 million shares of common stock and warrants to purchase an additional approximately 2.17 million shares of common stock.
