FDA APPROVES SALIX'S OSMOPREP

The FDA has approved Salix Pharmaceuticals' colon-cleansing drug OsmoPrep tablets for use in preparation of colonoscopy in adults 18 years or older.

OsmoPrep (sodium phosphate monobasic monohydrate/sodium phosphate dibasic anhydrous) is patent protected until 2013. Additional patent protection is being sought through 2024.
