LONG DRUG STORES SIGNS DEAL WITH AMERISOURCEBERGEN DRUG CORPORATION

One of the most recognized drug store chains on the West Coat, Walnut Creek, California based Longs Drug Stores Corporation, has signed a long term supply contract one of the largest pharmaceutical services companies in the United States AmerisourceBergen Drug Corporation. This agreement will go into effect on July 1, 2006 and will hold a term of anywhere from 3 to 7 years. Part of the deal includes Long Drugs purchasing a percentage of their generic pharmaceuticals from AmeriSourceBergen, that percentage was not disclosed.
