BOSTON SCI-GUIDANT DEAL FACES EUROPEAN DELAY

The European Commission said Monday it has postponed the deadline for completing its antitrust review of Boston Scientific Corp.'s proposed $27 billion acquisition of Guidant Corp. The European Commission's new deadline is April 18. The companies had hoped to finalize the deal during the first week of April.
