MILLIPORE TO BUY SEROLOGICALS FOR $1.4B

Millipore Corp. on Tuesday said it agreed to acquire Serologicals Corp. for about $1.4 billion in cash and assumed debt, in a deal that would strengthen its relationships with biotechnology and pharmaceutical customers.
