NUCRYST PHARMACEUTICALS ANNOUNCES 2006 FIRST QUARTER RESULTS

Nucryst Pharmaceuticals Corp. announced for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 it recorded a net loss of $2.9 million, or 17 cents per share on revenues of $6.3 million, compared to a net loss of $1.4 million, or 14 cents per share on revenues of $4.1 million recorded in the same period last year.
