GENERIC OMNICEF GETS FDA APPROVAL

The FDA has approved Lupin's Cefdinir, the generic version of Abbott's Omnicef, a treatment for bacterial infections. The company will market Cefdinir powder for oral suspension in 125 mg/5 mL strength.

In May, Lupin received approval for a generic version of Omnicef in a capsule formulation.
