GSK INKS CANCER DEAL WITH CALIFORNIA FIRM

Cytokinetics Inc. extended a 5-year-old cancer research deal with pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline on Monday. The terms of the original agreement, made in June 2001, allow South San Francisco-based Cytokinetics and GlaxoSmithKline to extend the deal for another year.
