NOVARTIS CUTTING 60 MORE CHIRON JOBS

Pharmaceutical firm Novartis AG will lay off 60 more Emeryville employees this month as part of a larger reduction of former Chiron Corp. staff. Novartis' acquisition of Chiron, which was valued at about $5.4 billion, closed April 20.
