SWISS PHARMACEUTICAL MARKET UP 3.5 PERCENT AT CHF4.19 BILLION IN 2005

The Swiss pharmaceutical market grew 3.5% in 2005, the lowest increase in ten years, and a pace considerably below the global average of 6%, the pharmaceutical industry's trade group Interpharma said Monday. The value of medicines sold rose to CHF4.19 billion from CHF4.05 billion a year earlier, Interpharma said.
