EISAI INC. ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Eisai Inc. today announces the immediate appointment of Alex Scott as Vice President of Business Development. In his new role, Mr. Scott will oversee all business development activities, targeting opportunities in Eisai's three areas of therapeutic focus -- neurology, gastrointestinal disorders and oncology/critical care.
