LUMEN BIOMEDICAL GETS FIRST FDA OK

Lumen Biomedical Inc. said Wednesday it has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to market its first product in the United States. The Xtract Aspiration Catheter is used to remove blood clots that can restrict or interrupt blood flow. It can be used with other vascular-intervention devices, such as stents, to restore normal blood flow.
