COMPETITION BOARD FINES 3 DRUG COMPANIES

The Competition Board on Thursday ruled that the pharmaceutical companies Roche and Eczacibasi, and Beser Pharmacy Retailers pay YTL 10 million in fines. The board ruled that the three companies Roche, Eczacibasi and Beser Pharmacy Retailers had blocked competition in the 2003 tenders for medical sales to Social Insurance and state hospitals.
