Kmart Expands Generic Drug Discount Program

July 17, 2007

Kmart Pharmacy has again expanded its generic drug discount program to include more than 300 medications, the company announced.

The program, launched in May 2006, provides a three-month supply of covered generic drugs for $15, regardless of the prescribed daily dosage, the company said. An expansion in January added 22 generic drugs, and the latest expansion adds 70.

The new generic drugs in the program include 17 generic versions of prescription prenatal vitamins, which is a larger selection than other discount programs, Kmart said.
