Medical Devicemakers Go on Tour to Pitch to Patients

On a recent afternoon, about 10 seniors, nearly half using canes, sat in a plush, air-conditioned trailer on the campus of SSM St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis. Already treated to cookies, brochures and artificial hip key chains, it was time for their class — sponsored by Zimmer Inc., an Indiana-based maker of joint replacements.
