Abbott Labs’ Chief Operating Officer to Step Down

Abbott Laboratories said Friday that 53-year-old President and Chief Operating Officer Richard A Gonzalez plans to retire from the North Chicago pharmaceutical and health-care products company, and to step down from his post on its board, on Sept. 30.
