Drug Manufacturer Bribed Government for GMP Certificate — Former Official

Qiqihar No. 2 Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., which has been charged with manufacturing dangerous and fake drugs, paid the Guangdong Provincial Drug and Food Administration RMB 100,000 ($13,219) for a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certificate, a former official from the company said in court yesterday, state media reported.
