Roche Files IND for Second Genmab Antibody

Danish biotechnology company Genmab announced that its partner Roche filed an investigational new drug application (IND) with the FDA for a Genmab antibody developed under the companies’ collaboration. 

Genmab said it will receive a milestone payment from Roche that does not influence Genmab’s financial guidance for the year.

Under the agreement, Genmab said it creates human antibodies to a broad range of disease targets identified by Roche. The company added that it receives milestone and royalty payments based on successful products.
 
Lisa Drakeman, Genmab’s CEO, said that this candidate will be thesecond antibody produced under the collaboration to enter the clinic and the company’s seventh antibody to enter clinical development.
