Supreme Court Declines to Hear Pfizer’s Appeal in Celebrex Class Action
The U.S. Supreme Court has declined to hear Pfizer’s appeal of a class action shareholder lawsuit accusing the company of misrepresenting the results
of a clinical study of its arthritis drug Celebrex. Pfizer had argued that the plaintiffs had failed to file their suit within the two-year statute of
limitations. But the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit disagreed in its ruling. The Supreme Court’s refusal to take up the appeal Monday
means that the Third Circuit ruling stands.
