Malaysia Expects Significant Growth in Medical Device Sector by 2020

January 21, 2013
Malaysia’s medical device industry is poised for a five-fold increase in revenues by 2020, a new report says. Device sales will rise from US $1.1 billion in 2011 to about $1.7 billion in 2015 and roughly $3.8 billion by the end of the decade, the Malaysian Ministry of Health predicts. Fueling this growth are an increasingly older population with more access to healthcare and new medical device regulations.
