Pfizer Fails to Escape Costly Asbestos Case
Pfizer used to have a minerals, pigments and steel division. In 1968, Pfizer purchased a company called Quigley Company, which was making insulation for heavy industry — insulation that contained asbestos. Years later, Pfizer is trying, and failing, to claim that lawsuits against it for asbestos exposure are unjust.
