The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency unveiled a five-year corporate plan for 2018-2023 including expanded use of real-world data.

The agency is also preparing contingency plans for various possible scenarios for the UK’s departure from the European Union, including a “very unlikely” scenario in which it leaves the EU without a mutually satisfactory deal.

In the meantime, MHRA cites the agency’s existing regulatory relationship with non-EU states such as Switzerland and Turkey as a template.
