The FDA granted 510(k) clearance for Visura’s TEE camera assist device system.

The system comes with a single-use, disposable camera and a transesophageal echocardiogram ultra sound probe, allowing physicians to see the upper airway and esophagus for safe probe placement.

The camera allows physicians to safely and visually place an ultrasound probe in the patient’s esophagus as opposed to placing them blindly and potentially causing failed intubation.
