Australia Outlines Ventilator Specs in Coronavirus Pandemic

Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration has released specifications for ventilator devices manufactured for treating COVID-19 patients.
The requirements address the respiratory rate, volume, airway pressure safety, alarms, electricity supply and other factors.
For example, the agency said, ventilators must be able to deliver a respiratory rate of five to 30 breaths per minute, and the volume must be adjustable.
