BioMérieux has received CE mark certification for its VIDAS COVID-19 serology tests, which detect antibodies in the blood.

The in-vitro diagnostic company’s VIDAS anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgM and anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG tests identify antibodies in patients exposed to the coronavirus. Both tests deliver results within a half hour, the company said.

Patients with antibodies likely were infected with the coronavirus at some point and may have developed some level of immunity.
