Canon Medical has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its Soltus 500 digital X-ray system for conducting bedside exams.

The compact device features pressure-sensitive steering and dual-beam direction controls that help improve maneuverability and accuracy, the company said.

The system is controlled using an 8.4-inch touchscreen display.
