Elekta has received clearance from China’s National Medical Products Administration for its Elekta Unity magnetic resonance (MR) radiation therapy system.

The system includes an MRI scanner, a linear accelerator and software to track daily changes in the shape, size and position of tumors to assist in planning radiation doses.

The system has already received a 510(k) clearance in the U.S. and a CE mark in Europe.
