Roche has received CE mark certification for its SARS-CoV-2 rapid nasal antigen test and will make the test available in EU countries by mid-February.
The company’s new test collects a sample from the front area of the nose, allowing for easier and more comfortable testing. The samples can be collected by a healthcare professional or by the patients themselves under supervision.
The test generates results in approximately 15 minutes, signaling a positive or negative result on the test strip that indicates whether a patient has a high viral load.
