April 8, 2021
Philips has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its SmartCT application -- 3D image acquisition, visualization and measurement software -- for its Azurion image-guided therapy platform.
The software provides users with computed tomography-like 3D images that aid in diagnosis, therapy planning, treatment and follow-up for interventional radiology procedures, including vessel and organ segmentation, and quantitative measurements.
SmartCT includes software applications for angiography, neurology, soft-tissue imaging and guidewire/catheter navigation that support a wide range of procedures, including treatment of aneurysms, vascular diseases and liver tumors.
