DiaSorin’s rapid COVID-19 IgG antibody test and accompanying point-of-care reader have received CE mark certification.
The LIAISON Quick Detect COVID TrimericS Ab test, which runs on the company’s LIAISON IQ point-of-care reader, uses blood from a fingerstick to detect specific IgG antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein in 10 minutes, DiaSorin said.
The test is used to determine if a patient has generated an adaptive immune response to COVID-19 either from infection or vaccination. It can be used to test patients directly in pharmacies.
