Eurobio Scientific has received the CE mark for its COVID-19 test, which can distinguish between the Omicron and Delta coronavirus variants.

The EBX SARS-CoV-2 Fast-SVD test kit delivers results in 45 minutes. It is a multiplex polymerase chain reaction (PCR) kit that can identify the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19 and differentiate between the variant strains.

The test gained CE mark certification less than 15 days after Eurobio launched its research-use only version of the test.
