Data ‘Incident’ Is Now a Breach, Henry Schein Told Customers
More than four weeks after detecting what was then labeled a “cyber incident,” medical and dental supply distributor Henry Schein has warned customers that credit card and other sensitive bank account info “may have been compromised” in what the Melville, N.Y.-based company now identifies as a data breach.
Enhanced security measures, including password changes and account authorization upgrades, have been recommended to customers as a precautionary measure.
The incident was discovered by the company on Oct. 14.
