Biophan Technologies, Inc., a developer of next-generation medical technology, announced today that it has filed a U.S. patent application for the use of halloysite nanotubes for controlled release of drugs. The technology utilizes halloysite nanotubes,
which are being commercialized by NaturalNano, Inc. These nanotubes, which are hollow inorganic nanostructures derived from clay, allow the linear, controlled release of drugs.
