Drug developer Myogen Inc. said Tuesday it extended a research collaboration with Swiss drug maker Novartis AG for work on drugs aimed at treating heart muscle disease. The two-year extension on the agreement which began in 2003 means Novartis will fund research in exchange for licensing rights for the compounds developed. The deal now runs through October 2008.
