US FDA to Crack Down on Advertising of Drugs in 2009

Pharmaceutical manufacturers may have to brace themselves for more scrutiny by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Division of Drug Marketing, Advertising and Communication (DDMAC) in 2009 as the division steps up enforcement and appears to be broadening what it considers to be violative advertising.
