Retail Drug Spending Report May Point Way to Biologics Savings

A government report that shows retail prescription drug spending grew less in 2007 because of more generic prescriptions, consumer safety concerns and slower price increases also indicates the consumer savings potential if Congress creates a path for generic biologics approval, an expert says.
