Court Rules Pfizer May Be Sued in US for Nigerian Study

In a ruling with ramifications for U.S. drugmakers with clinical trials abroad, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said Pfizer may be sued in the U.S. for deaths and other adverse events in Nigeria during its 1996 pediatric clinical trial of the antibiotic Trovan.
