UK Initiates New Appraisal Steps to Speed Access to Treatments
The UK’s National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence and Department of Health have unveiled steps to streamline the way the government conducts technology appraisals to improve patient access to new drugs and treatments. The package of four proposed changes is expected to ensure that National Health Service patients receive life-saving, cost-effective, safe treatments more quickly.
