Pain Pump Makers Submitted False Claims for Joint Usage: Lawsuit
A federal court last week unsealed a $17 million False Claims Act case against Stryker and three other pain pump manufacturers that charges the companies with promoting off-label use of their products for shoulder surgery. The off-label promotion persisted even after physicians warned the companies of adverse events associated with the use of pain pumps in joints, the lawsuit states.
